TEC Equipment - Oakland

Only volvo dealer in bay area. Their prices on parts are little higher compare to the other volvo dealers but their service department staff is professional and helpfull.

TEC Equipment in Oakland is top-notch! Had my truck in for live media work, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Great people, fast turnaround, and they really know their stuff. Highly recommend for any truck service needs—these guys get it done right!

No (zero, zip, crickets) communication. Truck (2024 volvo) was there for 2 weeks, mostly for normal preventative maintenance (def filter, clean truck inspection, pm level b, dpf change valve adjust, etc). I'd call for an update. Person answering the phone was clueless and always said they'd have to have someone call me back. Not once did I receive a call back. They apparently spoke with my company maintenance department but completely ignored me, the person that drives it daily. There is one issue I requested they fix. I don't know if they even looked at it, but the problem (randomly dropping out of cruise controls) is still there.

We took our truck for some repairs and to make a long story short, after an over 24k bill repair ( which we agreed) I'm finding missing bolts, loose parts in our truck. Radiator has 2 main bolts holding it in place one was missing and the other was loose. Brackets holding the air conditioning lines were placed backwards, windshield wipers were working perfectly fine and now they are not, they removed some of the interior plastic panels for repairs and were placed back wrong . Totally unprofessional and lazy workmanship for the money they charge and to be a Volvo dealer . I changed the radiator once before on this truck myself and did a better job, and I'm not a mechanic. I wish that all the Diesel shops were as professional and through as this facility. The service advisor, AK, maintains a very easy going nature but he is all about the business of assisting his guest. I wish that there pricing was a bit more reasonable but at least once the problem that I walk in with is fully addressed!
