The Towne Cycles

I came in for a custom bike consultation and david took the time to listen to my wishlist of features in a new bike. There weren’t any frames that fit me in the shop, so he opened up facebook marketplace and we scrolled on there together until we found a frame that made sense + a color I liked. He went and picked that bike up and completed the rest of the build within about a week! Really appreciate the conversations had, the patience, and the community. They’ve also got local shows in their backyard Nextdoor one a month. Such a dope space and I’ve been recommending this shop to everyone :) took this new bike for a 10mi ride and everything’s smoooth. thanks so much david and towne cycles fri…

I love my bike that Towne Cycles created for me! I traded in a bike that I didn’t ride much and brainstormed with Dave about the things I wanted and he and his team made me a whole new bike that I love. Their attention to detail was great, if I ever wanted another bike I would go to Towne Cycles again, but my bike they built is great and I’m riding more than I have in years. Having a bike I like makes such a difference. Thanks Towne Cycles crew :)

David and Dylan rock! They were super patient with me while I debated the correct tire selection and offered solutions for me to consider. They also helped me get back on the road with some fresh sealant and some air.

Best place ever to get a bike repair in the Bay Area/Oakland. I got hit by car in the beginning of March and the front wheel of my bike and other parts got totally destroyed by the impact. I went to the shop, asked Dave (the owner of Towne Cycles) for a full repair on the bike and he was very understanding about the problem and quickly told me what could be done. Super friendly, honest, and great prices. The bike got ready less than five days after payment. Highly recommend the Towne Cycles bike shop. If you have a bike and need a repair or want to install a new part, don't look further. You've just found the right spot and you won't regret it. Thanks Dave!! :)

The owner of The Towne Cycles, David, is wonderful. I love this bike shop. He has built me a custom bike twice now and both times, he built a beautiful end product that fits me, has excellent components, and is right on budget. David really knows how to fit each cyclist’s individual needs with your preferences and the kind of cycling you do, very reasonably priced without sacrificing quality. The Towne Cycles is my bike shop hands down, and I’ve been cycling around Oakland for 15 years. Thank you David!!
